A dentist who allegedly attempted to murder his daughter’s mother in a botched drug overdose has been killed in the Philippines, according to his family.
Newsweek reports that Dr. Joseph Pang, 66, who was a dental hygienist at the Dental Institute of the Philippines in Davao City, was shot and killed on Thursday.
According to reports, Pang allegedly tried to kill his daughter, Rizal, and her mother, Gisele, at the family’s home in the town of Camuindanao.
His wife and other family members escaped the scene but were later apprehended by police.
Rizal and Giselle were reportedly rushed to a hospital where they were pronounced dead at about 1 a.m. on Thursday, according the Philippine Star.
