A $200,000 denture is the latest dental treatment that may soon be available at hospitals in Mumbai.
Dental treatment is being touted as a new and inexpensive alternative to conventional medical treatments for people with cavities.
A $250,000 graft is also in the pipeline, but only for patients with severe or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
But a new dental technique known as a “park bone graft” is gaining traction in the Indian market, and dentists say the price could be less than a conventional denture.
The technology is a dental replacement procedure in which the patient’s tooth is surgically implanted into a bone near the base of the skull.
The grafts are used to fill cavities in people with soft and brittle teeth and the condition known as osteosarcoma, which is a degenerative disease of the bones.
Dental transplantation is a popular and affordable way to treat dental problems in the developed world.
About 1.3 billion people in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have dental problems.
The disease has no cure.
Dr. Amit Singh, a dentist at the Mumbai-based National Institute of Health, said the new technology could help people who suffer from a severe or complex condition.
“It’s a real option to treat a lot of soft tissue diseases like soft tissue cancer, soft tissue osteoarthritis, soft bone deformities,” Singh said.
According to a government survey, 3.8 million people in India had moderate to severe soft tissue disorders, including osteosarcosis and soft tissue tumors.
The new dental procedure, known as park bone grafts, was developed in collaboration with a team led by India’s Tata Memorial Hospital and the National Institute for Health Research, which also provided a portion of the money for the study.
Singh said the dentists who participated in the study are expected to be able to get a transplant for about $150 a week, but that the cost will depend on the complexity of the condition and the patient.
Some dentists are excited about the procedure because of the cost, especially if it is successful.
“There is an urgent need for this kind of dental treatment, but we are still in the experimental phase,” said Dr. Manmohan, who has been in the industry for 25 years.
“We are working on finding the right dose of the injection and the right timing to start treatment.
If the procedure works as expected, then the patient would have a good chance to live for several years.”
The dentists said that dentists should be ready to receive a new batch of the transplants within a year or two, though Singh said that could take several months.
He also said that the government needs to ensure that the procedures are not associated with other diseases.

The dentists and other dentists working on the research are expecting to get the treatment for $150 to $200 a week.
India’s health minister has called the new procedure a potential cure for the condition, but he said the cost could be even lower than a traditional dental treatment.
Health Minister K. Venkaiah Naidu said last week that a study was under way that will be able see if the treatment works in the first two months of a patients life.
The study is expected to look at whether the treatment improves a patient’s condition in six months, Naidus said.
Doctors say that in India, where there are more than one million people living with dental diseases, the cost of a new treatment is often prohibitively high.
Doctors said that a $150-a-week procedure is also difficult to perform.
It is not possible to do the treatment with the patient without having some kind of implant.
When the patient has the injection, the dentist injects a solution into the soft tissue of the mouth and then a solution is injected into the patient as well.
The patient’s mouth and teeth are injected in a small chamber so the dentistry does not need to go through the implant procedure itself, according to the government.
Doctors are hoping that the injection may improve the condition of the patient, though they caution that it may take several weeks before the treatment results in an improvement in the condition.
Naidu has said that he hopes to have the treatment ready for the public by the end of the year.
India is not alone in its dental problems, and it has a number of other health issues, including obesity and diabetes.
