The Summit dental offices in Chicago and Chicago South are going through some major changes as the company announced that they will close their doors this coming February.
The Summit office in Chicago will close in February, but its staff will continue to work.
The company says that the change is being made to meet its financial goals, but the decision comes at a time when the company has been struggling to find new business.
Summit said that the financial results for the fiscal year ended February 2019 are expected to be “negative,” as they will lose $11 million in revenue.
Summit will also be closing down some of its dental services in Chicago, including dental offices that have been in operation for decades.
Summit has a total of 4,958 dental offices, including 3,823 in Chicago South, and 1,906 in Chicago.
The company says it plans to open more dental offices around the world in the coming years, and will be bringing back some dental work.
Summit is looking to expand the dental workforce in the future.
